Sometimes in the end of an holiday I find myself ready to be leaving and travel back to our home, however this time all of us could have stayed for weeks longer. Of course, Walter didn’t put it into words like we did, but he´s been such a happy little boy during our holiday, so I know he wanted us to stay too (and yes, also given the number of ice-creams he enjoyed each day it´s a no brainer!). We´ve explored new beautiful places on the Island and also re-visited areas we knew with great succes with Walter - so Mallorca will for sure be a destination that we as a family will return to. I will share individual posts from our holiday during this week!
As always when packing - I pack too much. ..clothing and stuff. However, I like thinking that we are all covered and having our wardrobe available as usual when travelling. Also when leaving for warmer tempatures I find it challenging to keep it simple, as you would need something for the hot weather outside and it might be cold indoor due to aircondition and other situations in between. But now being back home and unpacking I found us using such few pieces of all we packed and wanted to share our holiday essentials. Of course given the climate and the 34-40 degrees on Mallorca we didn’t wear much clothing than swimwear. As all hours possible during the day we spent at the beach or in the pool with so much fun!
Me being pregnant in week 24 was and is warm in itself, so I was wearing loose dresses and open sandals all the time. Usually for swimwear I always wear a bikini, but after becoming a mother and being pregnant now I preferred to be public in a swimsuit. So I found this beautiful new swimsuit for our Mallorca trip. A swimsuit just makes me feel more comfortable and it also protects the bump more in the sun than only sun lotion. But the bump got a little pretty tan anyways! For our family the sun lotion and body lotion is from Purely Professional. It was the first summer trying the sun lotion and its perfect - even Walter enjoys to get it on. The body lotion we use as an after sun lotion, as I prefer my usual body lotion rather than an after sun also on holidays. Some days we spent at the house and others we explored the Island and on beaches. On those days we packed a lot stuff for all of us and I loved having my new linen bag with me and a clutch for the smaller important stuff. So here´s my holiday essentials for Mallorca.

As for Walter he was more or less just wearing "nothing" or a bodysuit. It was so warm and him being a “warm” child too I didn’t wanted him to wear much clothing. So if any clothing it was bloomers and loose soft t-shirts or a linen shirt in the evening. And his sandals of course. We managed without beach shoes for him this summer, however for our next holiday I will bring a pair. On the beach the sand gets hot and also for the coming years he will be playing and walking more on the bach (I think). For sun lotion I added a spf 50 for Walter just to keep him high protected. It´s important to stay hydrated so Walter had a water bottle with him and he was so good asking for water. And found it a little cool having his own bottle. On our beach days Walter had his nap at the beach on the sand or a sun bed in the shadow, as it was too hot in the stroller for him! Walter was wrapped in a soft cotton blanket to feel comfortable. We kept all of Walter´s favourite books and toys in his little backpack! The books worked great to keep him in the shadow on a sun bed for some reading. Walter also had a bucket and shovel set that kept him busy for a few hours in the sand. So here´s Walter´s holiday essentials for Mallorca.
